First blog post... let's see how I do...
Well, it’s already the 14th and Christmas season is in full swing… which means that Christmas gift crafting time is running out! Since being a stay-at-home-crafter-just-for-the-fun-of-it isn’t quite the lucrative profession it should be, and I just can’t turn down any invite for a holiday soiree that comes my way, I have been burning the midnight oil (and then some) most of my evenings after work trying to meet the looming deadline of Christmas.
All the while, I’ve been putting together the photos and instructions to include tutorials for two of my gift projects. I’ll be lucky if they and all the other crafty gifts are completed and wrapped under the tree by the time Santa’s jingle bells can be heard Christmas Eve night, much less if I also get two extra witty and ultra-informative tutorials posted too! So, they’ll come later. Besides, I wouldn’t want to spoil any surprises for those family members who’ll be on the receiving end. Not that they know about our blog yet. But, they will… all in due time friends!
So, what does life look like in the Sew & Tell world these days? Well, besides sewing and crafting, we get to enjoy girlfriend time! Melody and I spent Monday evening sipping some tasty red wine, sewing as fast as our Santa elf fingers could go, and chit chatting about life, love, faith, and friends. All the while the mean San Diego rain (read: a little drizzle at about 60 degrees) stormed outside and Christmas tunes played inside.
Here a photo of our work station Monday Night. On most Sew & Tell nights, there are at least a couple more sewing machines and a serger sharing the space too!
Merry early Christmas!
